About The Research Journal
The Research Journal is a virtual newspaper/newsletter project that aims to provide young scholars with adequate information on biology and the opportunity to publish their own research. This project is supported by the nonprofit "Future Faces Foundation." The Journal will be published bi-monthly virtually on The Research Journal website. The newspaper will be published virtually with an abstract for preview and required a subscription fee to view the actual newspaper. The money gained from the subscription fees will be donated to a charity related to biological preservation, or a charity decided by the board members.who you are.

Executive Board

Yixuan(Irene) Tang
Co-President
Irene Tang is a Senior at Northwood High School and the co-president for The Research Journal. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, playing her instrument, listening to K-pop, spending time with her family, and doodling. She hopes to pursue the field of biology in the future and leave an impact on the world through her effort, one of the reasons she became passionate about TRJ. During this unprecedented time, she has been actively giving back to the community through social services, and she will continue to do so.
Victoria Ji Gong
Co-President
Victoria Gong is a Senior at Northwood High School in Irvine, CA. Coming from a family of scientists, she has always been fascinated by the subject of biology and the broad range of concepts within. She designed this project because younger students are given fewer opportunities to show their research or to understand highly academic research papers written by professors or scientists. With this project, she wants to give everyone the opportunity to understand biology and to share their own understanding of this engrossing subject.
Jiayi(Annie) Li
Treasurer
Jiayi (Annie) Li is a Senior at Northwood High School. Her favorite hobbies are golf and painting. Her interest in The Research Journal comes from the AP Biology class she took in junior year. Compares to biology, Jiayi has more experience in business, which makes her the treasurer of TRJ. Nevertheless, Jiayi enjoys the time she spent working with her peers from TRJ.
